Features and sound

Bringing the deepest frequencies of large instruments, such as an organ or a double bass, is the biggest challenge for a high-end speaker. Only a few boxes are able to reproduce the lowest register of a large church organ, and at the very least it sounds like an organ pipe. It is also possible to present a double bass in its full volume without either sounding smoothly and inflated, or to remove the sails from the outset, only a few, unusual loudspeaker designs are reserved. The loudspeaker boxes "Les Orgues", here in the variant PETIT ORGUE are representatives of this type. With their low-tone drivers WS 25 E - 8 Ohm specially optimized for free-air operation in a folded but open sound wall, they are able to reproduce in a captivating natural and natural way without any exaggeration, but also without any weakness, frequencies up to below 20 Hz. As a result of the elimination of a housing in the actual sense, the resonance frequency of the tweeters is not increased, but is even lowered by the special RiPol principle, which is why the orgues can emit smoothly and uncompressed very low frequencies.

In contrast to conventional loudspeaker housings where the volume significantly determines the ability to emit very low frequencies, the PETIT ORGUE can withstand the GRAND ORGUE in terms of low speed.
The differences here are mainly limited to the efficiency and the maximum level, while the lower limit frequency is identical.
One must have heard with one's own ears what this petty gust pushes through the auditorium to be able to believe in deep sound waves.
Sure, the maximum level is limited, but only the ability to play deeper than most adult standboxes is more than impressive.
However, a prerequisite for the low-base reproduction in this principle radiating on both sides is a sufficient distance between the box and the rear wall.
1 meter would be fine, for full level to the low bass area, however, 2-3 meters distance should be sought.
The PETIT ORGUE is therefore not suitable as a classic shelf box despite its small dimensions.
As with the big sister, oval broadband loudspeakers of the SL 713 - 4 Ohm type are responsible for the range above 300 Hz.
Owing to its light paper membrane and the vibratory coil carrier, this favorable wideband is distinguished by a very natural reproduction of up to highest frequencies.
Since only 2 pieces are used here, separate control is not necessary.
However, the PETIT ORGUE should be brought to the ear height by means of suitable box stands or the like, as the two wide bands already bundle strongly.
The sound character is therefore quite similar to that of the GRAND ORGUE: Very authentic, direct, dynamic.
The bass is incredibly deep, yet always clean and unobtrusive.
Even with the PETIT ORGUE, low-frequency instruments, large orchestral recordings and voices sound absolutely realistic and with the certain portion of live atmosphere.
The stage image is very clear and focused, although it does not, in principle, approach the outstanding imaging precision of the GRAND ORGUE with 8-fold array.
But the PETIT ORGUE is far more than the "small sister".
It is a fully-fledged high-end loudspeaker that appeals to a phonic circle that can dispense with a high maximum loudness, but not with deep bass and a grandiose stage image.
TIP: The bass part of the PETIT ORGUE without wide bands, without passive switch directly connected to an active module, results in an excellent subwoofer, which alone or as a pair of particularly musical high-end loudspeakers up to in the most extreme positions.
