Features and sound

The CLOU is a slender 2-way standbox, whose charm is clearly in the price-performance ratio, which is underlined by the fitting with two WS 17 E - 8 Ohm for low to medium frequencies and the SC 10 N - 8 Ohm for the high tone.
In order to ensure a balanced sound image with these low-priced chassis, the two bass sounders were spatially separated from each other and assigned a separate closed volume to each.
The lower WS 17 E - 8 Ohm plays in a 36 l case.
This leads to a uniform increase in the frequency response from 60 Hz to 600 Hz.
The upper WS 17 E - 8 ohm, on the other hand, must have a volume of 16 l, which results in a slight increase in the frequency range between 60 Hz and 150 Hz.
In total, the two bass toners add to a harmonious bass foundation with targeted emphasis on the frequencies from 60 to 130 Hz.
In order to connect the tweeter seamlessly to the bass, a properly dimensioned locking circuit is required, which smooths undesirable level peaks and resonances.

The result of this unusual chassis and housing combination is a standbox that is absolutely worth seeing and listening, which acts soundly far above its pricey frame.
