At the beginning of the development of the STUDIO 2 was the question: can one still improve a 2-way shelf box and is another version even useful?
To anticipate it: Yes!

With the introduction of the Waveguide, the possibility was created to optimize the acoustic properties not only on the axis, but also to perfect the emission characteristic towards the sides.
This improvement has been made useful here.

In the STUDIO 2, as in her great sister STUDIO 1, the two high-end chassis AL 130 - 8 Ohm and G 25 FFL - 8 Ohm harmonize.
This combination of 13 cm bass driver and 25mm tweeter has already proved its worth.

The tweeter is also supported by a Waveguide, the WG 148 R.
This round version of the Waveguide WG 220x150 has acoustically identical properties and ensures an optimized bundling between the normally broadly radiating high-tone kalotte G 25 FFL - 8 ohm and the more strongly concentrating low-noise ray AL 130 - 8 ohm towards high frequencies.
As a result, an absolutely homogeneous and breakless unit is achieved which results in uniform focusing.

The chassis trimmed to minimum losses ensures precise and fine-resolution reproduction quality and complete the overall image.

Due to these perfected acoustic properties, the STUDIO 2 can be used as a listening monitor for sound studios, which has also given its name during development.
As is customary for such loudspeakers, the sound reproduction is kept as neutral as possible in order not to falsify the sound recording.

In addition to these professional applications, it can of course also be used for pure stereo or multichannel systems.
We recommend to declare the loudspeakers as a “small” in the receiver’s setup.
In this way, deep frequencies are filtered out, which helps the STUDIO 2 to provide sound pressure level resources that are sensitive.
Supported with a subwoofer, despite the small dimensions, even larger systems can be put in the shadow.
