The ARIA MHT is a variant of the popular small shelf box ARIA.
Instead of using the fabric cup, the ARIA MHT is equipped with the outstanding magnetostat MHT 12 - 8 Ohm.
The frequency switch had to be matched exactly to the two chassis.
Since magnetostats cannot be separated too deeply, the takeover frequency was set to 5000 Hz.
Thus, a very clean high-tone reproduction is achieved even at large volume levels.
A certain amount of effort was necessary for the frequency switch in order to be able to operate the TI 100 - 8 ohm even at such high frequencies.
Because of its long oscillating coil, this high-end low-medium toner can execute an unusually large stroke and thus generate a bass level that would not be entrusted to it because of its small size.
The TI 100 - 8 Ohm in the middle tone range is characterized by an extremely clear voice reproduction due to the extremely stiff titanium membrane.
In combination with the silky heights for which magnetostats are known, this combination plays with the highest league of the high-end speakers.
Although the ARIA MHT has a strong low tone during a setup on the shelf, an active subwoofer is a useful addition for the very deep bass area.
